Frequently Asked Questions
Special Requests
The special requests you can make from the Waivers & Request Form are:
- Course Suspension Removal
~For when you have been suspended from a course and wish to be reinstated; and the specified time has passed since the suspension was put in place.
- Extended Absence
MUST be sent in beforehand, otherwise you will run the risk of your account being removed due to inactivity!!
- This waiver DOES NOT grant you permission to take quizzes in less than the course's required timeframe. (See "Quiz Spacing Waiver" below for that.) This waiver only prevents your account from being removed for inactivity, should you have long periods of accessibility issues. (More detail below.)
- For when you know you will be away for more than 4 weeks (30 days) [such as a vacation or overseas missions trip] and would like your Activity Status to reflect this, so that your account will not be marked as "Idle" and may be removed for inactivity later.
- For when you are only able to get internet access every 4 or more weeks (30+ days) and do not want your Activity Status to be marked as "Idle" and may be removed for inactivity later.
- For when you are working on your Thesis, particularly when it is the only "course" (or one of very few) you are working on. You wouldn't want to be marked as "Idle" and then later removed from our system because you haven't logged in over 3 months!
- Quiz Spacing Waiver
~For when you need to take several quizzes in a course at once. To be used when a student has limited access, such as in a third world country, to the internet, and can only get access on an irregular basis.
~NOTE: Regardless of how many quizzes you take at once within a course, you may not complete the course (i.e. take the Final) before the full time has elapsed to satisfy the minimum-weeks-for-course requirement. (i.e. an 8 week course cannot have the Final taken any sooner than 8 weeks from when the student started the course.)
- Suspension/Expulsion Removal/Reduction
~For when you have been suspended or expelled from the school and wish to be reinstated. (See Suspension & Expulsion for more info.)
